This

the budget. All shots were greatly improved and the weather set received

KXAS-TV
Dallas/Fort Worth
Every set element is a reversible wagon. When each section of the set is
rotated 180 degrees, you have a new set.
One side is the interview pit for sports and the other orientation is the
interview pit for news and PSA.
Additionally, because the set elements are very large and need to be moved
around, the lighting needed to be high and minimal. To help with minimal
lighting, each of the set pieces generates its own light through the use
of light boxes and built-in fixtures.
All you have to do is spike the wagon and plug it in. Most of the lighting
is key and backlights for talent. The faux wood flooring is a special
vinyl aerobics floor designed to self-repair and made to take some
punishment.
The smaller sports "kiosk" is the highlights and anchor center for our
Sports Extra show and is also a wagon.
One person working alone can change the set in about 20 minutes.
